Free Anxiety and Stress Management Group

If you want to change your relationship with stress and anxiety, this group is for you!

If you’re struggling with anxiety, you know how hard it can be to live your life the way you want to. It’s normal to feel nervous and even stressed from time to time, but unmanaged anxiety and high stress levels make getting through the day really hard. Anxiety can impact every part of your life, including your body, mind, emotions, and relationships. The bad news is that anxiety feels terrible. The great news is that anxiety is highly treatable and you can start feeling better soon.

At Restorative Counseling we are passionate about helping people overcome anxiety and stress so they can live their life to the fullest. We have a team of trained counselors that offer individual therapy for anxiety, and we also offer a free weekly support group for adults looking to learn new skills for managing anxiety and stress levels. This group is led by our Clinical Interns David Fisk and Peyton Clark. The focus of the group is to learn foundational skills for understanding and engaging with emotions in general, managing anxiety and stress levels, and applying mindfulness skills to reduce suffering.

Join this free group to learn:

• Practical and effective strategies to address anxiety in all its forms

• How to decrease worry, rumination, and intrusive thoughts

• Skills and tools to reduce the presence of stress in your mind and body

• How the consistent practice of mindfulness builds resiliency and protects you from feeling overwhelmed

Each group will include psychoeducation, meaning you will learn more about how anxiety works and why it functions in the ways it does. You will then have skills training, meaning you will learn new tools and strategies to effectively engage with anxiety so that symptoms are reduced or eliminated. Skills will be taught from a wide array of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Training. CBT and DBT are well-researched methods for treating anxiety and increasing emotional resiliency. Mindfulness practices will help you accept your thoughts and feelings for what they are without allowing them to completely control your reactions and responses.

We hope you will join us on Wednesday evenings for this group. If you are interested or would like more information, please reach out to our Intake Department by giving us a call at (678) 403-0112 or submitting a form through the Contact Us page. You will then receive the Zoom link for the group. We look forward to seeing you online!
