Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment, please fill out the form on the Contact Us page or give us a call at (678) 403-0112. Our Intake Coordinator will reach out to you within 24 hours (or on Monday if you reach out on the weekend) to learn more about what you are looking to address in counseling. She will then connect you with the therapist who is best trained and equipped to help you reach your goals, and you will have a separate call with your recommended counselor. Getting the fit right between therapist and client is very important, and our Intake Coordinator will expertly match you with the counselor that is best equipped to handle your care.

Who will be my therapist?

Our Intake Coordinator specializes in finding excellent therapeutic fits and will make sure you are paired with the right counselor for your presenting concerns. All of our counselors are licensed professionals with unique areas of specialization and advanced training in their particular areas of interest, enabling us to connect you to the right therapist for your specific needs.

After hearing about your therapeutic goals, location preference, and availability, our Intake Coordinator will recommend a specific counselor and share why this therapist is a good fit for you. That counselor will then call you for a free 15-minute consultation where you can share more about your goals and learn how she or he approaches therapy. This process of connecting before scheduling to make sure the fit is right is one of the reasons our clients see such success in therapy.

If a particular therapist stands out to you on our About Us page, please let us know and we will be happy to connect you. And if you’re not sure about which therapist is the best fit for you, not to worry! We love helping pair clients with the right clinician. Please fill out the form found on the Contact Us page so we can pair you with the best counselor for your concerns.

What is the cost of therapy?

The cost of each session varies by practitioner and is based on their level of licensure, certification, specializations, and years in the field. We offer reduced rates with our clinical interns who are finishing their master’s program in counseling.

When are you open?

We offer sessions every day of the week, including weekends. We have sessions beginning as early as 8am and as late as 8pm. Each counselor has their own schedule, and our Intake Coordinator will be able to connect you with a therapist who specializes in your concern and has availability that works with your schedule.

How long is a session?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. However, since all of our counseling is customized, if you find that you need longer sessions or need a half session to touch base in between sessions, you can discuss this with your counselor. Certain forms of therapy, like EMDR or Emotionally Focused Therapy are also offered in an intensive format. You can learn more about intensives by clicking here.

How often will I meet with my counselor?

Most clients find it incredibly helpful to begin counseling by committing to one session per week to start. This allows your counselor to gather your history and start working on your concerns quickly. Most clients will then move from weekly sessions to meeting every other week, and then monthly or on an as needed basis. You can openly discuss session frequency with your counselor at your first session.

How long will therapy continue?

Together with your counselor you will define your goals and develop a customized treatment plan that addresses your concerns as effectively and efficiently as possible. Sometimes this will happen in a relatively short period of time, while other situations may require a longer-term commitment. Because we don’t offer any “one size fits all” approaches to individual counseling each counseling experience is unique, including the timeline. Our commitment to you is to help you resolve your concerns at just the right pace – never too fast, and never too slow.

What types of counseling do you offer?

We have clinicians on our team that work with individuals as young as 8 years old, adolescents, and adults. We work with clients individually, and in couples and family counseling. We also offer group counseling for skills building and processing.

Insurance Related Questions

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes! Counseling with any of our providers is HSA and FSA-eligible.

Do you take my insurance?

We are not an in-network provider with any insurance panels. However, your counselor will be able to provide you with a Superbill (a detailed receipt for your insurance company) after each session. You can submit this receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider before your first session to find out if they reimburse for services from an out-of-network provider. Be sure to check if you have a deductible to meet prior to being reimbursed and what percentage your provider reimburses per session. Policies vary for each insurance company, so we encourage you to call and ask these questions if you are considering submitting Superbills. If you would like written information about how Superbills work, you can reach out to our Intake Coordinator for more details.
