Alexis Navarro, APC
Alexis is an Associate Professional Counselor who works with couples, families, and individuals (ages 12+) to address relationship issues, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and the effects of trauma (including PTSD).
Alexis received her B.S. in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Georgia and earned her master’s degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Richmont University.
Alexis takes an approach that her clients describe as warm and empathetic, sprinkled with dry humor and creativity. She helps her clients overcome the obstacles that prevent them from thriving as whole individuals. She is also passionate about helping clients navigate issues of cultural and LGBTQ+ identity.
To accomplish these goals, Alexis utilizes gold-standard therapeutic approaches such as Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Alexis began working with Restorative Counseling in 2022 and is supervised by Celia Webb, LPC, CPCS. She sees clients in the Buckhead and Roswell offices as well as via telehealth. Outside of work, Alexis enjoys teaching pure barre, dining with good friends, and going on long walks with her rescue pit bull, “Chance the Napper”.
